🏆 Competition Details
Structure

Applications Open | 5-21 May
Pitch deck submissions will be evaluated internally by the TBV
Team’s that meet the minimum requirements outlined in the event brief will move on to the preliminary round

Preliminary Round | 24-31 May
Teams will pitch to a judge via video conference
Top 5 teams will move on to the final pitch-off

Pitch Skills Workshop | Late May, TBC
Finalist teams will be invited to an exclusive workshop featuring an industry expert to hone pitching skills ****

Main Event | 2nd June
Finalist teams will pitch their startup to a panel of judges in-person
Networking session following the announcement of winners
</aside>Rules
1.
Startups must be (co-) founded by a current tertiary student or early-graduate (less than 5 years since graduation)
2.
Your startup must have an MVP or paying customers
3.
Startups must submit a pitch deck to successfully register for the competition
4.
Startups can be represented by 1-5 people
5.
Startups must be based in Australia and be able to attend the Grand Finals in-person in Sydney
Judges
Australia’s leading venture capitalists and industry leaders will be judging your startup pitch.
1-2 Judges for the preliminary round
3-4 Judges for the main event
Judges will evaluate teams and provide feedback. Main event judges will be taking part in the networking session following the pitch-off.
Previously we’ve had partners and investors from Australia’s leading VC firms including Blackbird, Galileo, Reinventure and Airtree. Keep an eye out for the ‘Meet the Judges’ posts on our social medias.
Registrations
To sucessfully register your startup for the Young Founders Pitch Competition, you must fill out your team's details requested in the form and share a pitch deck. Below is a suggested structure:
